Course Description

The Rope Rescue Technician (RRT) course covers concepts and techniques to enable small teams to undertake technical rope rescues. A building block approach is used throughout the course so that candidates can progress from key concepts through to the rigging and operation of full systems for raising, lowering and highline rescues.

Building on the Rope Rescue Operator course this course provides the knowledge and skills to assess, rig, operate and supervise rope rescue solutions in both man-made and natural environments.

Course Content Includes

Multi point / backed-up anchor systems, Compound and complex mechanical advantage, Use of artificial high directionals, Litter attending high angle, Passing knots through system, Highline rope systems, Rope access skills

Duration

5 Days (30 contact hours).
