Course Description

The Rope Rescue Operator course introduces the rope knowledge and skills required by personnel to operate safely and effectively as a member of a Rope Rescue Operator team, undertaking rescues using the skills covered in the course.

Course Content Includes

Legislation and standards, Preplanning, size-up & ICS, Team roles & commands and personal & team equipment, System safety factors & checks, Simple anchor systems and belay systems, Tensioning systems & mechanical advantage, Ascending & descending, Rope based raising & lowering systems, Team based pick off.
